David Cooper

David has 35+ years of broad-based experience as a lawyer, dealmaker and “fixer” in virtually all aspects of commercial real estate, including development/sales/acquisitions (land use, development, construction, contracts), financing transactions, leasing transactions, property management/operations, and also real estate litigation. He also was frequently asked by other lawyers to aid them in their transactions having real estate issues. Before joining RPC in 2022, David was a partner for 26+ years in a private law practice for what is best described as a “real estate boutique,” where he was a skilled and trusted go to lawyer for real estate and business clients. RPC was one of his clients. We lured David away from private practice and he has helped not only RPC, but also RPC’s third-party clients, including institutional clients, in their acquisitions, sales and day-to-day operations. They rely on David for his experience, guidance and judgment on their transactions. David received a B.A. in History from the University of Texas at Austin, and a J.D. from Duke University’s School of Law. He is an Atlanta native.
